Aric S. Queen – Producer and Radio Host

rethink_aric2Aric S. Queen, previous American Clear Channel radio/television host, former executive producer of ChinesePod.com (named one of 2006’s ‘Top 10 Podcasts’ by Time Magazine), Soul Fire Radio (in which he became the first foreign radio program director in the history of China), executive producer of Johnson & Johnson’s ‘Bao Bao Radio‘ series, director/producer of ‘theshanghaishow‘ and the award-winning television series ‘the shanghai diaries’ – a program that got him kicked out of China. He was named by Shanghai Daily as ‘leader of the creative class’ in 2007.

Following his exile, he wrote, shot and filmed ‘the shanghai [exile] diaries’ that spanned the majority of SE Asia and then shot a 2-month photo essay in India and Nepal. Upon his return to America, he was given a 2-novel publishing contract to pen both his experience in China and the events that followed afterwards.

He is currently working with CNN on their new CNNGO website, as well as Project E, a non-profit out of Ethiopia. Along with these, he constantly begs to produce anything Christine Lu gets her hands on – which currently includes producing content for Fatburger, Project Rebirth and RETHINK-FM.

An Otis Redding freak, you can find him on his weekly gospel/blues/Motown/jazz podcast at http://www.roughsundays.com.

He’s tall and sometimes nice. But not to tall people. He doesn’t like tall people.
